Frequently Asked Questions
DO I REALLY NEED COUPLE COUNSELLING OR SHOULD I HAVE INDIVIDUAL COUNSELLING?
You may be in a relationship and want to explore the feelings that this relationship stirs up. Sometimes being with a partner can remind you of experiences from the past or previous behaviours. Being in a couple relationship can mean that you look at your parents' coupledom or your childhood in a different way, couple counselling can help you to focus on these thoughts, and understand how they mught be affecting your own relationship.
CAN I COME WITHOUT MY PARTNER?
Yes you can. We can work together and the focus can still be on you both as a couple. If it is possible to come together, then I would recommend that.
DO I HAVE TO COMMIT TO A SET AMOUNT OF SESSIONS?
No, we would have an initial consultation. You would then be more able to decide if you feel happy to start the counselling process. We would then be able to discuss the duration of the counselling.
HOW LONG IS A SESSION?
A session lasts for 50 minutes and we would meet once a week.
